Aztec Sun Stone: up close and personal at the Mexico Spanish Immersion

Fascinating in so many ways, Mexico is definitely a favorite among travelers. So imagine the excitement for someone who’s always wanted to visit this city and who’s also wanted to learn Spanish in a serious and effective program. It’s the perfect duo: Fluenz Spanish Immersion + Mexico City. Learning in the most intense program, created for English-speakers and customized to help each participant unblock fluency, while being able to enjoy and roam the streets of a magnificent place.

Now think about how special Mexico City can be for history buffs and cultural enthusiasts. It’s is a dream come true, since it’s the most alive archeological site in the world. From buried Mayan cities now visible to new technologies, to ever deeper excavations in downtown Mexico City, there are news practically everyday.

The iconic Sun Stone, which surfaced near the cathedral but 200 years ago, remains the most famous Aztec sculpture. It has a complex design with intricate glyphic language, it’s 358 centimetres (141 in) in diameter, 98 cm (39 in) thick, and weighs 24,590 kg (54,210 lb). The best part is that our Immersion groups get to see it up close and personal when we have our private nighttime visit of the National Museum of Anthropology. And you know what? No matter how many pictures you’ve seen of it, it will leave you awestruck.

This is your chance to do what you love in a place that you love. Come and join our Mexico Spanish Immersions when we start up again. In the meantime write us at guestcare@fluenz.com
