One of the things that we love more than teaching languages is sharing our participants’ stories with the world. From the very start, they come with lots of excitement and eagerness to start their journey. Every day they experience new things, learn new sequences, new words, and that all becomes part of their story. When it comes time for them to leave, they’re filled with pride; they can’t believe how far they’ve come in only a week. Their expectations have been met and exceeded, and they feel the need to tell others about how Fluenz helped them achieve their goals.
Mark Cutler is one of these people. We asked him to share a few thoughts on his days in the Mexico City Spanish Immersion and this is what he had to say:
“Stepping in, even from day one, I felt that they had a very thorough appreciation of where I was starting from. We had the initial interview. After I walked away from the interview I wasn’t sure necessarily what they’d learned, but it was amazing how personal they were able to make this whole experience, right from day one. So that was a really big help for me because I felt it had been specifically designed for me and what my particular needs were.”
“My Spanish was transformed but in a very particular way(…) We knew that we were on a path that somebody had designed specifically for us (…) I didn’t expected the level of intensity that 3 hours of one-on-one tutoring really involves and the quality of the teaching. I really felt that there were moves and steps that were really made specifically for where I was and the particular things that I needed to address.”
