At the Fluenz Spanish Immersion, we’re all architecture buffs

Mexico City is full of architectural gems, and at the Fluenz Spanish Immersion we delight in guiding our friends and students in the direction of one in particular: Luis Barragán’s studio house. This is undoubtedly one of our favorite offsite visits.

Built in 1948, the prized architect’s former residence was deemed an official UNESCO site and included in their World Heritage List for many reasons. The only property in Latin America honored with the title, revered by architects, cherished by the art world and respected by locals, Casa Luis Barragán is a revelation best seen in person.

It’s still one of the most visited sites in Mexico City, and every time we host a new Spanish Immersion group, we take them on a tour of this cultural landmark.

The Fluenz Spanish Immersion is not only about learning Spanish, it’s about soaking up the essence of Mexico City.
